My family

Hello my name is Miyuki Kitamura.
My mother`s name is Noriko and my father`s name is Hijiri.
They both come from Japan.
In summer my grandparents come to stay for about three months.
I also have a antie who sometimes comes to ski in the winter time.
I do not have any brothers and sisters .
But I have fun with the rest of my family.

Great swimming Room 9 !

Wow we have a class of great swimmers in Room 9! It is so enjoyable watching each swimmer in every group. You are all doing fantastically. Well Done. One group had a very exciting time sitting on the bottom of the pool in the deep end. Another group enjoyed doing tumble turns and one group was diving for goggles. All very exciting!
Thanks to all parents who have come to join us at the pool so far.
I had a lovely surprise today when I received some beautiful flowers from Paris to acknowledge World teachers' day. Thanks Paris and family.
We saw a beautiful dress designed and created by Anna's sister as part of her technology work at Kirkwood - amazing!
Isabella showed us her cool stickers from USA. Logan had a really cool book to share with us.
Natasha is off to Hanmer for the weekend. Enjoy.
Marcella is having a lovely weekend with her grandparents. I enjoyed meeting them yesterday.
We are really enjoying exploring the Room 9 wikispace and blog and adding to them. Thanks Emma and Josh C for your valuable help.
Olivia has been selected to represent Oaklands at the zone Athletics this coming Tuesday - go Olivia. We are very proud of you.
Happy Halloween if you are celebrating that. We are looking forward to seeing photos of Chelsea as a vampire!! We can't imagine her as one at all!!!

On Tuesday Room 9 went to Starfish swim school. We went on the bus to get there. I sat next to Younji in the front. When we got there we had to show the teacher how we swim. I am in group one.The people in group one are: Younji,
Amy,Nathan,Michaela, Josh C, Brittany and Me. We did freestyle and backstroke in the water.Younji and I played paper, scissors, rock under water while we were waiting. On Thursday we went down to the deep end. When we were at the deep end we sat on the ground. I was excited on the bus.

On friday the class blew big bubbles. We used cool pipe cleaners and some of us popped them it was fun.

Emma's bubble story

On Friday we made some bubble blowers with pipe cleaners and some other bubble blowers.Not many of the bubble blowers worked and then I started blowing bubbles with my hands. Lots of people copied me and I did really big bubbles with my hands. It was really fun. One of the bubble blowers broke. The big circle one would not work. Only one person in the class could get the big circle bubble blower to work. Mrs Chambers' class watched for a while. All of the bubbles are different shapes and sizes.
